The Restaurant

„The SCHATTEN“ has a long standing tradition that goes all the way back to 1867. And over the course of time, the SCHATTEN has become something of an institution in Partenkirchen and it very much remains so today.

This is where the locals meet at the cracker-barrel, where they enjoy an after work drink in the beer garden behind the house and it is where all kinds of family celebrations take place. Whether it is a birthday party, baptisms, Holy communions, weddings or funerals, the SCHATTEN is the preferred location. And with a splendid, restaurant, a parlor and a ballroom, it can accommodate parties of anywhere from 20 to 200 guests.

Martin Baudrexl is the manager of Hotel and Restaurant SCHATTEN. He is a master butcher and chef de cuisine and he places considerable emphasis on using the quality local produce. As a chef with international experience, he can also deliver more than just the traditional local cuisine. Consequently, you will experience Bavarian delicacies with that little bit extra.

And the quality of the cuisine and the impeccable high standards are evidenced via the restaurant receiving the silver medal in the "Bavarian Cuisine 2007" competition as well as recommendations in the illustrious "Der Feinschmecker ("The Gourmet") and the culinary guide "Gusto - Oberbayern 2007"

The restaurant is open every day except Wednesday.
